Like many others, I had problems with the 1000HE. Mine focused on the screen at random times to go. After 3 months of ownership, I sent back to Asus for repair, at my expense, and returns after a few days. Everything worked 10 minutes before leaving again. Again, I sent it back, at my expense. Has held for three weeks, and have never been able to give me the updates in that time. I wrote an e-mail, which they never responded. Postponed, and it worked well for 3 days. Now I have the blue screen from time to time. I have some updates, so hopefully it will not happen again blue screen, and I am glad that from now on. With the cost of shipping may be cheaper to throw to spend $ 30 a month trying to achieve, if fixed.
If you're lucky to get one that works, this is a great machine. But I buy a different brand next time.
Update: The blue screen errors are almost non-stop now, so I look like a paperweight for $ 400.
